Our Team
Michael handles deal sourcing, development, legal, and capital and debt structures. Before forming Vault, Michael served as Director of Legal/Real Estate at Crane Worldwide Logistics in Houston, Texas. At Crane, Michael led the real estate division with a portfolio totaling over five million square feet leased, and over $100 million of development and acquisitions. Prior to his time at Crane, Michael was an associate at the law firm Seyfarth Shaw in Chicago where he focused on dispositions and acquisitions, development, and leasing with the Real Estate Practice Group of the firm.

Garrett handles deal sourcing, operations and development for Vault. He has a broad background in real estate construction, development, and project management across a variety of asset classes. Prior to forming Vault, he served as Vice President of Operations at Vistamont, a private equity real estate fund with over $50 million in assets under management. During his time at Vistamont, Garrett supervised the acquisition and rehab of more than 500 homes in Texas and Alabama. Before joining Vistamont, he was a Project Engineer for Western National Group where he specialized in the development, construction, and management of high end apartment communities in Southern California. Outside of Vault, he serves on the Board of Directors for New Hope Housing, Inc., a developer and operator of life-stabilizing, affordable, permanent housing.

Matthew focuses his efforts on legal, deal sourcing and development. Matthew joined Vault from The Friedkin Group where he served as Legal Counsel for Gulf States Toyota, Inc., exclusive distributor for Toyota vehicles and parts in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. While at Gulf States Toyota, Inc., Matthew managed legal aspects associated with real estate purchases and dealership construction throughout Gulf State’s five state region. Matthew began his career as a commercial litigator at Crady, Jewett, McCulley and Houren, LLP before moving to Locke Lord, LLP, both in Houston, Texas. At both firms Matthew’s practice included a substantial focus on real estate disputes, purchase-sale agreement and landlord-tenant related.

Josh’s focus includes acquisition, deal sourcing, and financial management of the company’s portfolio. Prior to joining Vault Partners, Josh has experience working on the development, acquisition, and management of a variety of asset classes throughout the United States. Most recently, Josh was a managing partner of a 400k SF industrial portfolio. He started his career at Goldman Sachs where he worked as an asset manager for the firm’s Whitehall Funds. He continued his career at Fortress Investment Group where he helped grow and manage the firm’s 100+ property senior living portfolio. After moving to Houston in 2016, Josh led the underwriting and acquisition process for M-M Properties’ operating office portfolio.

TJ’s focus includes acquisition, deal sourcing, asset management, and brand development. Prior to joining Vault Partners, TJ has experience working in retail & industrial brokerage in New York City and throughout the United States. Most recently, TJ was an Associate Director at Newmark, where he constructed real estate strategies for Tenants expanding their network of logistics facilities, negotiated letters of intent, and oversaw lease negotiations. He led the Tri-State area expansion for goPuff, completing over 30+ deals on their behalf. TJ started his career in real estate at Robert K. Futterman & Associates (RKF), the #1 retail brokerage firm in the country at the time. Some of his clients included Hines, Taconic Investment Partners, New York Presbyterian Hospital, XIN Development, Union Square Hospitality Group, and CVS Pharmacy.

Natalie’s focus includes property management, vendor contract negotiation, and operational development. Prior to joining the Vault team, Natalie co-founded 4WARD Energy Solutions, an energy consulting firm in Houston, Texas where she managed special projects, program management, and regulatory compliance. Before 4WARD Energy Solutions, Natalie was an administrator for the legal and insurance departments at Crane Worldwide Logistics, where she led the development of its international, corporate insurance program.
